Today, with the usage of the Internet and so-called "online job boards," a single posting could draw more than 15,000 resumes! Less than 8% of new jobs are landed 'online!' - about 2% through third-party recruiters! Of course, business owners, hiring managers, and HR are unable to read that many, making Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS software) a tool commonly used to "weed out" those they feel don't fit their idea of a "perfect employee."
