2020 A.D. What a year!?

​As we quickly move through the holiday season, 2021 is near. Will it be better for Americans than 2020? I believe that it will be so!
 
Our medical and scientific communities know much more about the Covid virus than months ago. The death rates are less than ½ % of those that were diagnosed with the virus (under age 70 and no/few comorbidities). Several tested vaccines are almost ready for distribution. Those people under 70-years of age that attend K-12 school and college are virtually unaffected, yet most schools remain closed, or in a ‘virtual’ classrooms which is degrading their education and progress. Ridiculous and unsupported by science!

​That said, we will need to be watchful for some time to discern how long the vaccination will last...how long will immunity last for those that tested positive. I personally believe this virus will soon be treated as the flu has been treated for decades.
 
Then comes the ‘job market.’ So many have been laid-off during this pandemic. Many SMBs (small-, medium-sized businesses) have closed and will never reopen. Larger companies are reorganizing, acquiring/selling and merging their companies, but yet your life and its challenges, and goals will continue.
 
My suggestions are to first, take time to realize if you really enjoy your J.O.B. (Just-Over-Broke; Just-Over-Boredom; Just-Outta-Bounds). This could be a great moment to land a ‘career position’ instead!

A ‘career position’ presents something that you enjoy...something that challenges you to learn more...something that offers a career path (for those that want that)...something that fairly compensates you. Only having a job is why ~75% of Americans have their resumes floating on the Internet! They are either unemployed, unhappy, or both.
 
Certified Professionals, like myself, dedicate their time and efforts to assisting their clients in doing just that! Most resume writers and career coaches, on an Internet search, are not ‘certified professionals,’ but former HR people that never hired anyone, own a laptop, and are ill-prepared to show you how to successfully accomplish the above.
 
There is professional help out there! You would not perform surgery on yourself, would you? Why try to perform surgery on your career search campaign without new ideas, new methodologies, professional advice, and testimonials from clients like yourself that landed that new, career position in a fraction of the time it’s taking Americans with a centuries-old resume and depending on the online job boards?
 
We’ll quickly see how the new group of so-called “leaders” in Washington help, or interfere with our efforts. I am not going to hold my breath. I would get proactive and, in the worst of times, gain professional assistance and find that career position! You, your family, and collective futures depend upon it!
